The Division of Academic Innovation leads educational technology integrations, online learning, course design, faculty and staff development in education, and continuing education credit for clinicians. This position will work in the continuing education team to create accredited continuing education content and programs.
The Educational Program Manager is responsible for the development and coordination of educational programs, courses, training and activities for medical professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and other health care providers. This position will collaborate across HSC system-based departments and colleges to enhance the educational experiences for future providers and clinical professionals and develop/contribute to the creation and implementation of education programs to support a wide variety of learners inclusive of the HSC university system and the community at large.
Job Duties:
- Conducts and compiles prospect research and needs assessment data for continuing education activities.
- Strategically develops and maintains working relationships with internal and external individuals, clients and organizations/departments to enhance and improve continuing education activities to the community’s served by UNTHSC.
- Manages educational activities to ensure programs are on task and milestones are met.
- Ensure all documentation is clear; ensures accreditation requirements are followed accordingly and representative documentation is correct.
- Responsible for project/program level budget. Provides action plan if budget is not met.
- Be an active team member of the CE & Assessment Team, providing administrative support, including phone back-up, filling, mail out preparation.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of CE & Assessment.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
