Job Summary
Serves as a CE liaison to Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS), courses (live and virtual), conferences, special and enduring activities sponsored by MedStar Health throughout their development, implementation and reporting. Maintain compliance with ACCME's Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education and department/organizational policies and procedures. Responsible for monitoring quarterly Activity Reports for CE compliance and JAPARS submissions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists activity directors, clinical department staff, including coordinators with the activity application 
    process, maintenance of accurate and compliant records of attendance, faculty management, faculty financial disclosure forms, clinical content review.
  • Contributes to achieving and maintaining accreditation through the Joint Accreditation (JA).
  • Contributes to the achievement of established department and organizational goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Coordinates materials for Final CE activity reports with required components as per ACCME and JA guidelines.
  • Inputs and uploads data related to activities in the CloudCME® activity database. Responsible for the receipt and the completeness of CE
    RSS Reporting.
  • Monitors and supports CE, e.g. Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS), courses (live and virtual), conferences, special and enduring activities throughout
    their development and implementation for compliance with ACCME's Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education and department
    of CE policies and procedures.
  • Participates in educational planning meetings, professional development meetings, and staff meetings. Provides support to physicians and other professionals in
    determining educational needs and learning objectives, determining modes of educational delivery, selection of faculty, and evaluating overall efforts and outcomes.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Provides training. Participates in ongoing
    program improvement initiatives, serves on committees as needed and represents the department and organization in community outreach
    efforts as appropriate. 


Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience relating to office administration and coordination required. Prior CME experience preferred.
